Concerning number of at-risk teenage gamers
A WHO report of late 2024 reveals the concerning number of at-risk teenage gamers.
According to the report, 34% of teenagers play daily online games, with over 22% exceeding the 4-hour. Among the frequent "gamers", a staggering 12% of adolescents are at risk of problematic gaming habits. This number, however, is not evenly distributed between the sexes: 16% of boys show problematic signs of gaming, as opposed to 7% of girls.
To combat this, it is imperative to educate the youth on practices of digital mindfulness.
